Why use Format painter ? Because it let’s you do the work fast compared to formatting manually. Format painter let’s you apply the same formatting to other text also. E.g. you have a text in Calibri font and its of 16 size, and the other is a different font and size, so you dont need to manually change the font and its size, instead use format painter to apply the same formatting to the other text also. And it will save you a lot of time if you’ve got to do lots of formatting. See the video tutorial below on how to use format painter in Microsoft Word.
How to use Format painter:
- Put your cursor in the text from which you want to apply formatting
- Press Ctrl+Shift+C
- Now put your cursor to the text which you want to apply the formatting
- And press Ctrl+Shift+V
Or you if you dont want to remember the shortcuts then you can also use the format painter button. Place your cursor from where you want to apply the formatting and then click on button. Now drag the brush over the text where you wish to apply the formatting. Its simple, try it and it will save you a lot of time.
