Sony Xperia Go and Xperia Acro S – Features and Specifications

Sony has announced two new smartphones – the Xperia Go and the Xperia Acro S. These phones have scratch resistant mineral glass displays and meet industry standard IP ratings (International Protection) for protection against dust and water immersion. These are the new rugged phones that are durable and water resistant.

The Xperia Go comes with 1GHz dual-core processor, 3.5” display powered by Bravia engine, mineral glass display with wet finger tracking and 5 MP camera. The phone is powered by Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) which is upgradeable to Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). Xperia Go will launch in the US under the name of “Xperia advance”. This model comes in three colors – black, white and yellow options are available.

Talking about the Xperia Acro S, this phone comes with 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 4.3” 720p HD display powered by Bravia engine, 1280 x 720 pixels resolution and 12MP camera. This phone is powered by the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, unlike the Xperia Go. The Xperia Acro S is also PlayStation certified. You’ll be able to get this model from black, white and pink color options.
