Some Valentine Ideas For Geeks

February 8, 2010 by Saqib 1 Comment

Valentine’s Day is near and I thought to write a blog post for this occasion. First of all, whats the definition for a typical geek? A typical geek is a one who stays away from social life, talks less and keeps on doing programming stuff. And yes, geeks stay away from social life but they do like social networking websites. So incase, you want to show the feelings on Valentine’s day and don’t know what to do or what to gift, then read on, this post is for you. Lets start.

Send an Ecard for your loved one:

There are many websites through which you can customize an Ecard and send it to your loved one. One such website which I like the most is 123greetings.com. Its interface is simple and there are ecards for almost every occasion. You can customize the card by writing whatever message you want and ofcourse you’ll be notified when the ecard is viewed. One another website is cardfountain.com. This site also has some interesting cards, with good music and songs. Do check it out its valentines day section.

Send her a beautiful and rare gift:

Beauty and the beast, who wins. Ofcourse beauty. Some gadgets are too beautiful to own. Now this is what you call as Beauty-licious. Example of such a shiny new gadget can be a Samsung Corby mate. Take a look at its beauty. This could be an ideal gift for your loved one. Also this color is rare to find. This is something outstanding. Else, if she loves to listen to songs then Apple iPod can be a good choice. Also you can gift a netbook. The plus points for netbooks are they are very light, can be easily inserted in a bag and longer battery life. And we already know that netbooks are very cheap.

Change your Facebook Profile picture:

Facebook is used by millions in the World, and more and more people start using it day by day. So if you are in relationship, then its time to change your picture. Take a good snap of you both, apply some photoshop skills and upload it to your facebook account. Be also sureĀ  to change the relationship status from single to whatever applicable to you.

Create a customized Photo card:

You know about snapfish right? So its time to use your knowledge now and send her a personalised photo card or calendar or a mug. That personalised thing should have a good background, a good picture of you and your girlfriend, and a picture of red heart should be great in my opinion. Use your imagination and do some great combination of all these and make some impressionable thing.

So now let your ideas roll, create the perfect gift for your loved ones. Happy Valentine :)

iTunes has some great gift cards out for Valentine’s day where the ear phones are in the shape of a heart. A great gift idea for geeks would be an iTunes gift card and a list of songs you think your Valentine would like–or a burned CD of “your songs.” If there is one thing geeks can do, it’s download and work with technology. Maybe you could even remix some favorite love songs or write an entire love story–complete with a song from when you first met, a song reminiscent of your first kiss, a song for your first fight, a song from your first make-up, and so forth. The present is the iTunes gift card. But the gift is in your sentimental presentation.
