How to Send a Contact’s Detail as an SMS [For Android]

The traditional process of sending a contact information to someone will be to switch back and forth between a number and text message. Some people will also first write that contact information on a piece of paper and then send it via SMS. These workarounds work well but since we’re living in modern age, how about an easy method to send a contact’s details in an SMS.

How to Send a Contact as an SMS

Enter Ciacs Contact Sender app for Android. This app let’s you send multiple contacts to multiple recipients via text, email or bluetooth. With this app, you can send all the details of a specific contact to someone else who wants to know that information.

Below you can see the main screen of Ciacs app. Add the contact number in To field, add contact’s information which you want to send by tapping on Send, type the message that you want to send with the contact information and then tap on Send. Of course you can send multiple contact information by tapping the + sign.

Open the app and tap the menu button and then click on Preferences. From here you can configure many different options such as send via text, email, bluetooth or export as file, send as plain text or business card, configure quick options that appear on quick action bar, etc.

In the send via screen, normally you would set “text” as default option.

When sending a contact information, you can tap on the small green symbol on the left side of the app to bring up all the available formats for example: plain text, business card, Google CSV, Outlook CSV, etc.

Here are the steps at a glance: pick a name, choose a format to send with, type a message (optional) and hit the send button. No doubt this app makes it real easy to share contacts from contacts list.
