The internet contains plethora of useful information. The information is buried in web pages and therefore to find exactly what we are looking, we can use the option to search (or find). The option to find a text can be found in mostly every popular browser and it can be invoked by pressing Ctrl + F.
Enable Quick Search on Firefox
The user simply needs to type in the keywords in this search box to find what they are looking for. But wouldn’t it be great if we can just directly start searching, without pressing the Ctrl + F shortcut key? This time saver feature can be activated in Firefox easily. Just follow the below process:
Launch Firefox. Press the Alt key to show the menus and then go to Tools > Options.
In the Options window, switch to Advanced tab from the top.
From the General tab, check mark Search for text when I start typing.
Once you have check marked it, click on OK to save the settings.
When you complete following these instructions, you do not have to press Ctrl + F to find the text from the page. You can directly start typing and Firefox will find it for you. Activate this feature and search faster for text on web page.
This doesn’t mean that you cannot press Ctrl + F to search, you can still use this key combination to search.
