Samsung has taken a smart move by announcing details about the new Galaxy Ace 2 and Galaxy Mini 2 phones before Mobile World Congress. The company has officially announced details about these new smartphones.
Both the phones are a sequel to the Galaxy Ace and Galaxy Mini that are already very popular among the budget conscious users. No doubt, Samsung is increasing their Android offerings by releasing new models at regular intervals.
Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 Specs and Features
The new Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 is going to be the new mid-range offering featuring Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). This phone would sit between the high-end and low-end offerings. The screen has been increased in size from 3.5 inch to 3.8 inches and resolution is improved from 320 x 480 to 480 x 800 pixels.
One major upgrade in Galaxy Ace 2 is the use of dual-core 800MHz processor. The handset packs in 768MB of RAM, 4GB of internal memory along with a microSD card slot. The phone also features a 5MP camera with LED flash which can capture 720p HD videos. Other features include 3.5mm Ear Jack, Stereo FM Radio with RDS, Bluetooth v 3.0, USB 2.0, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct and Standard Li-ion 1,500 mAh battery.
The Galaxy Ace 2 will be available in the U.K from April. Price is not disclosed at the moment.
Samsung Galaxy Mini 2 Features and Specs
The new Galaxy Mini 2 features 3.27 inch screen with a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels, 800MHz single core processor, 512MB RAM, 3MP camera, 4GB internal storage with microSD card slot (expandable up to 32GB).
The phone will be running on Android 2.3 Gingerbread, with Samsung’s TouchWIZ UI on top of it. Other features include music player with SoundAlive, 3.5mm Ear Jack, Stereo FM Radio with RDS, A-GPS, USB 2.0, Bluetooth v 3.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, DLNA and Standard Li-ion 1,300 mAh battery.
Samsung Galaxy Mini 2 will be available starting from March in France.
