But there may come many questions in your mind, why should we open music, image or PDF in Chrome when there are separate applications for each of them. And what’s the advantage of opening in Chrome? Suppose you’re visiting your friend or relative and that computer doesn’t have any program for playing music. You try to install Winamp but you don’t have administratr rights. What do you do now? If that computer has Google Chrome installed, then a possible solution in this case is to use Google Chrome to play MP3 music files.
Open PDF, MP3 and Image Files Directly in Google Chrome
To do this, just open Google Chrome and drag and drop that music file to Chrome. Click on Play button to start playing that music/song. To pause, press that button again. We can say that Chrome has integrated music player, pdf viewer and image viewer.
This drag and drop method works for PDF and opening images also. By default, Chrome doesn’t need any extension for opening PDF files, therefore such files can also be opened directly in Chrome.
Alternatively you can also press Ctrl+O (shortcut key) and browse to the file that you want to open in Chrome.
Now you know how to open music, photos, PDfs in Google Chrome easily. Also you won’t need active internet connection for this task. You can open music, PDF’s and images in Google Chrome offline mode also.
