Windows 8, Microsoft’s latest operating system is released to public and is available worldwide. If you are thinking to upgrade to Windows 8, then the good news is that anyone can get Windows 8 for just $14.99 (or INR 699). This may seem too good to be true, but all you need to do is to just enter some fake details at the WindowsUpgradeOffer page. More details after the jump.
Get Genuine License of Windows 8 for Cheap Price
The MRP of Windows 8 Pro version is $169.99 but Microsoft is running a promotion till Jan 31st 2013 and therefore you can this new operating system for a discounted price of $130. For those who are upgrading from Windows 7/Vista/XP, they can get Windows 8 for just $39.99 (or INR 1999). Additionally, Microsoft is also running a promotion for those who have bought a Windows 7 PC between June 2, 2012 and January 31, 2013, such users are eligible for a further discount and can actually upgrade for a mere $14.99.
To take advantage of this offer, you need to visit WindowsUpgradeOffer page and enter some basic details about the Windows 7 PC purchase. Don’t worry, even if you have not purchased a Windows 7 PC during this period, you can still get Windows 8 at a discounted price of $14.99 by entering fake details of Windows 7 PC purchase.
The page doesn’t asks for any serial key nor Windows 7 key, but it only requires the date of purchase, name of retailer, PC brand and model. Check the below screenshot to see how I have entered some random information into each fields.
Once you fill out all these details, agree to the terms and conditions and hit the “Continue” button. You will get a confirmation email with the promo code to the same email address that you have filled in the form. This promo code can then be used to purchase the Windows 8 Pro edition via the Windows 8 Upgrade assistant app for a price of $14.99. But don’t forget to enter this Windows 8 promo code, or else you will be charged full price for the upgrade.
Note that this Offer is valid from 2nd June 2012 to 31st January 2013 only. Also it may be possible that Microsoft may realize their mistake and can stop this promotion. That’s why, you need to hurry to take advantage of this offer to get genuine license of Windows 8 for a cheap price.
