Dropbox has become a popular cloud storage service. Users can backup their files to the cloud and sync it across all devices (tablets, mobiles and computers). It offers 2GB of free storage space to all users but with this small little trick, you can get a whopping 23GB of free storage space on Dropbox.
Before moving forward, please note that this is not any official promotional campaign from Dropbox. The steps involve installing a third party APK file on your Android device. According to some Dropbox forum members, this trick may violate user terms and conditions. Also installing third party applications on Android device may be harmful, therefore proceed forward at your own risk.
To apply this trick, you need three things:
- Free Dropbox Account
- Third party APK file
- Android Device
Get 23GB Free Storage on Dropbox
- First thing you need to do is to uninstall the official Dropbox app for Android. To do this, go to Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > Dropbox > Uninstall. If you’re not using the Dropbox app, then skip this step.
- Now we need to turn ON installation of non-market applications. To do this go to Settings > Applications > Check mark “Unknown sources”.
- Download and Install this Custom Dropbox APK file
- After installing, launch the application and sign-in to your Dropbox account from Android. After sometime can check your Dropbox storage space which will be bumped to a whopping 23GB.
You’ll also receive an Email that reads:
Thanks for supercharging your HTC device with Dropbox! To get the most out of your Dropbox and claim your extra 23 GB of space, visit our Getting Started guide
As soon as you receive this Email, you can safely remove this third part Dropbox application and then install the official app from Google Play again. This free storage space will be valid for 2 years. Go ahead and enjoy your free storage of 23GB completely free for 2 years !

Thanks for informing. When I first saw it, the APK file was there. It seems that Moderators have removed it. I think XDA Forums are still the original source of this trick.
