Automatically Forward Missed Calls and Text Messages to your Email [For Android]

Here’s an Android app for those who don’t want to miss out anything. Those who are wondering why should one forward missed calls and text messages (SMS) to Email address, then there can be many reasons for doing this.

There are some companies that doesn’t allow to carry cell phones at workplace. Therefore, such persons may just leave their cell phones at home. Some companies allow the cell phones to be kept in locker safely and one can access it during break time. There are many useful apps in Android Market, and in fact its the most happening place for Android lovers. By using this free Android app, we can automatically forward all the missed calls and text messages to the preferred Gmail Email address. You’ll need Gmail for using this app.

It may happen that sometimes we forget cell phone at home, at such time this app can really come in handy. SMS2Gmail can forward your SMS messages and missed calls to a pre-defined Gmail account.

To start receiving missed calls and SMS notifications in Email, install SMS2Gmail on your Android device and configure its settings. Configuring it is just too easy. Enter your gmail address and its password to authenticate this process.

If you’re not comfortable to enter the password, then you can also create a secondary email address and create a rule (filter) in gmail such that all mails are automatically forwarded to primary mail address. This primary mail address can also be your official mail address and there’s no need for it be a gmail address.

If this app is not active and your phone is at home, just send an SMS from a friends phone and activate this service. Thus, even if this app is not active, you can just activate this service by a simple SMS from your friends cell phone.

This definitely will add more clutter to the Email but we can always delete Emails. Those who keep on forgetting their cell phones can really benefit from this useful app. And the best part is that you’re not spending anything on this app, its FREE.
