How to Record FM Radio in Samsung Wave [Bada Phones]

December 9, 2011 by Saqib Leave a Comment

Samsung Wave phones are powered by BADA operating system. These new breed of smartphones are affordable and won’t burn a hole in your pocket. If you’re owning a Samsung Wave phone, then it comes with playing and recording FM radio feature.

FM Radio Recording in Samsung Wave

Firstly, to play radio, we’ll need to plug in the headset. Plug the headset and then go to Menu and select FM Radio. Tune in the correct frequency to play your favorite radio station that you want to record. For example, if you are in India and tune in to 98.3, this will play the Radio Mirchi FM station.

Now comes the recording part. Select that 3 dots pop up menu (from the bottom of the screen) from this interface. This will open additional options like scan, remove favorite channels, record, go to sounds and settings. Select that “Record” option.

Recording process will start. Let’s say a commercial is playing at the moment, for this you can also “Pause” the recording and then later on resume the recording. Select that Pause button from the center of the screen to pause the recording for some time, later on you can select that option again to resume radio recording.

Finally, when recording is done, we can now save the recording. Select Save to stop recording and save it. You will get a prompt saying “Saved”. Recording is successfully saved.

You will be wondering where exactly that recording is saved and in which format. To play that, head over to Music Player and the file will be named as Radio001. The format in which the file is saved will be MP3. The file location will be in: My Files > Memory Card > Sounds > Radio001.mp3

Note: The music/audio that is playing in the radio might be copyright protected. Follow the above method only at your own discretion.
