January 11, 2012 by Saqib Leave a Comment

The world of online tools is amazing. BuiltWith is an amazing online tool that automatically detects information about a particular website and then outputs information like server info, which CMS the site is using, which advertising and analytics the site is using, Javascript libraries, SEO details and much more. This makes analyzing any website so easy.

Have you ever wanted to check out which CMS (content management system) a particular website is powered by? Is that website tracking its visitors or which Javascript libraries are used in the development of that website. All these questions can be easily answered by BuiltWith. No doubt, some may argue that we can just check the source code of a website to know about all these details, but then not everyone is smart enough. There are many people who know not a thing about coding, but they know how CMS works. For such people, going through source code of a website and finding information can be a daunting task.

To analyze a website, all you need to do is to head over to the website and enter the website address and hit the “Lookup” button.

The site will automatically fetch all these information and then will generate the results. Upon testing the site, the results are 100% correct.

For example, by entering technostarry.com, we’ll be looking at server details, and all other information about this site. (Refer below screenshot)

server info

As you can see in this results page, it displays that “website is using content delivery network” and “litespeed server”. Also in the “content management systems” it displays “WordPress”. The results are true, as they should be.

Things don’t just end here. In the top navigation of the website, you can also see “SEO Profile” button. Click on it to analyze the site SEO tool. This should present an in-depth review about website’s search engine performance. You will also be able to see suggestions for areas that need improvement, for example, if there are no H1 in the site, then it will suggest you to use a H1 tag on your page.

BuiltWith can be a very useful if you want to analyze a website in detail and want to know more about that website. It can output very useful statistics/information, in some seconds. Go, try out this useful tool from below link.
