How OneReceipt Works
Create an account with this free service. After creating an account, authorize OneReceipt to search for receipts in your email account. It will automatically search for receipts in email account and sync all those receipts. You’ll need to wait for sometime till the process completes. After adding the receipt, we can tag and categorize it. We can get an overview of all the receipts found in inbox and with the different sorting and filter options, we can find the exact receipt which we’re searching for. There’s also a handy search bar provided.
Adding receipts can be done via three different ways. By camera phone, forwarding receipts to yourname@onereceipt.com (this is your username) and by syncing your Gmail account. Amazingly, there is no manual way to add receipts. Hope they add the support to manually add receipt details.
The username is like your personal email address for receipts. When buying online, if you’re not comfortable giving your primary email address, then you can also give OneReceipt email address to that online store. There’s a separate “Message” section where all your incoming messages are stored. Receipts from those messages will be automatically separated. Thus, when you shop online, use this email address and make your primary email address clutter-free.
If you have more than one email accounts, then you can search for receipts/invoices in other accounts also, by clicking on “Add account”. Once an account is added, it will automatically extract receipts. Another method is to just forward Emails (which are receipts) to your OneReceipt email address.
This service will import most email invoices, but there are still many retailers that are not recognized. This means that prices and other details are not properly extracted from those retailers.
Overall, OneReceipt can be your handy online and offline shopping companion. Store all your receipts online on the cloud, sort, filter and do much more.
