How to Convert Web Pages to ePub and Mobi Format for your eReader

January 9, 2013 by Saqib Leave a Comment

If you have an eBook reader like Kindle, Nook or any other, then you can enjoy reading your favorite website in a nice layout by converting the webpage into MOBI or EPUB eBook. The advantage of converting the webpage to an eBook is that you can read your favorite website in an eBook-friendly format, without ads or any other extra unnecessary element.

Ebook Glue is a free web app that can transform any RSS Feed of website (or blogs) into Mobi or ePub format. Before trying it out, there are two small conditions:

  1. The website or blog that you want to convert must have a valid RSS feed
  2. The content should be visible in full, and there should not be a “read more” link (as in the case of many blogs).

With that in mind, let’s take a closer look on how to convert any blog/website into an eBook.

When you visit the service, you need to enter a URL to your blog, RSS Feed or Atom feed. On testing it out for some time, I was able to make it work by entering only the blog’s URL. The RSS Feed was automatically detected.

Enter the URL and hit the “Share as an Ebook” button. Once you do this, wait for some time.

You will then get the option to download the eBook in ePub and Mobi files which in most cases, any eReader can read. Simply click on the respective button to get the file.

You will also be able to see “Share link” using which you can share the link with your friends and family. There’s no need to register, but if you register then you will be able to download the eBooks without having to enter the URL again.

Now you can transfer this downloaded file to your eReader and enjoy it in your device. eBook reader users will surely love this method. If you have an Android or iOS based device, then you can also try out Pocket to save entire webpages for offline reading. Pocket app doesn’t depend on RSS Feeds and thus it should give better results than the method discussed above.

Ebook Glue uses eBook formats that work with Kindle, Nook, Kobo, Sony, and many other popular reading devices. Enjoy reading your favorite website in a nice layout, without any distractions and ads. Try it out from below.
