Comodo Online Storage: Get 5GB of Free Storage and Sync Files to Cloud

Comodo is a well-known and recognized company developing security solutions, backup solutions, SSL certificates and other many different kinds of products. The same company now offers 5 GB of free online storage and its known as Comodo Online Storage.

Cloud storage is really growing. People have started to upload their important files, documents and other files to the cloud. Cloud storage can act as a good backup solution for important files so that in case your hard disk ever fails, your data will still be available from the online cloud storage. No doubt when we think about the cloud storage service, Dropbox is what first comes to the mind but this doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t try out a different cloud storage. Comodo Online Storage is a free web service that offers a large online file storage capacity. Sign-up process is very easy. Just enter your email address, password and you will be automatically signed-in to the web interface. It offers a super clean and easy to use interface. Click on “Upload” button to start uploading files. You can also create folders to categorize files.

To share a file with friends, select a file and then click on “Share” button. Then you can copy the public link and send this link to your friends. If in future you want to unshare this file, then select this file and click on “unshare” button. There are other options like: copy to, move to, rename and delete.

Dropbox offers 2GB of free storage whereas Comodo Online Storage offers 5GB of free storage. A single file shouldn’t be more than 2GB. If you need more then storage space you can go for a paid plan which costs:

  • $9.99 per month for 250 GB
  • $99.99 per month for 1 TB
  • $99.99 – 1 Year for 250 GB
  • $199.99 – 1 Year for 1 TB

Besides web-interface, you can also install the desktop application. Download the desktop application for Windows operating system and install it. To upload your data to the cloud, all you need to do is to just copy and paste the file in this new drive that Comodo created. The data will be automatically synchronized on all computers where Comodo Online Storage client is installed. You can also drag and drop the file that you wish to upload to the grey colored floating window. A progress bar will display how many percent upload process is complete.

    Nice tute… anyways SkyDrive does provide 25GB of free storage.
    What is the upload size of Codomo ? In skydrive, its 50MB

      A single file shouldn’t be more than 2GB of size
