Open Bookmarks in New Tab [Firefox and Chrome]
Firstly, let’s take a look at some tricks that work on all popular browsers like Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Internet Explorer and Safari on Windows. You can follow any one of the below mentioned methods that work on all these browsers.
- Press the Ctrl key from the keyboard and then click on the bookmark. This should open that bookmark in a new tab.
- Press the middle mouse button to open that bookmark in a new tab.
- Right-click on the bookmark and click on open in new tab. And if you want to open that bookmark in a new window, then click on Open in new window.

If you are using Google Chrome and don’t want to follow any of the above methods then follow this simple method which requires some extra effort but works great.
Right-click on bookmark and click on Edit. You will be presented with “Edit bookmark” window. In the URL box, enter the URL with the following structure:

Replace the URL with your own bookmark URL and click on Save. That’s all you need to do. Now, whenever you open this particular bookmark, it will always open in a new tab.

Firefox users can install an extension for this purpose. This extension is named as Open Bookmarks in New Tab. You can install this extension from Tools > Add-ons > Get Add-ons or you can get it directly from here.
After installing this extension, all you need to do is to just left click on your bookmark as you would normally do and you will notice that the bookmark will open in new tab, always. There’s no any other extra effort is required for this extension to work. Enjoy your new trick with which you can easily open all bookmarks in new tab by a single left click.

For Firefox you don’t even need an extension, you can simply change “browser.tabs.loadBookmarksInTabs” to “true” in about:config
