Use Night Mode on Dolphin for Android to Read Comfortably at Night

October 29, 2012 by Saqib Leave a Comment

If you are on Android, then it makes more sense to try out a different browser like Dolphin, than to just use the native/default browser of the phone. Dolphin is a very popular browser on Android and the latest version allows you to enable night mode for reading comfortably at night.

If you’re surfing on the web during the night, then reading on a bright screen at night can be harsh on the eyes. A solution to this problem is to use a dark colored background like grey with light colored text. Dolphin browser lets you read comfortably at night with the help of an extension known as Night Mode.

Firstly, you will need to install the Night Mode add-on. Open Dolphin browser, swipe the screen to left and tap on the + button to install more add-ons. The first add-on that is displayed should be the “Night Mode for Dolphin”. Tap on “Get it”. Alternatively, you can also directly install this add-on from this link.

Once installed, it’s time to enable this newly installed add-on. Swipe your screen to the left and tap on “Night Mode” to enable it.

Now that this add-on is enabled, you can start visiting your favorite website and you will notice that the webpage will be displayed in dark colored theme as shown in the below screenshot.

With Night Mode enabled and screen dimmed, you can now read for hours on the web without giving much strain to eyes.
