The new Google +1 button is out, and its a social sharing button, which helps you to +1 any link, and it means that you give your stamp of approval or in facebook terms, you “like” that link or website. This helps to recommend good links/websites on Google search. And when you search in Google, you can see the search results which are shared by your friends with the help of +1 button. This will help to promote good content, and content that’s worth reading.
You can rate the website via two ways. From Google search results page directly (but sign in is required) and also by visiting the website and clicking on +1 button. The first option is valid in all situations but the second option, which is to rate the website by visiting it, may not be feasible in all situations, because the webmaster may not have added the Google +1 button in the website. So how do you rate such sites ? Well, there is a solution if you are using Google Chrome browser. Simply add the +1 Plus One Extension to your browser.
Just head over to the above link, and click on Install button. The extension will be installed in a few seconds.
Now you will be able to see +1 button added to top right of toolbar in Chrome. If you want to rate a site, then click on this button.
If you’re not signed in, then you will be required to sign in, and then rate it. Sign in with your Google account, and just click on Confirm and +1
This way, you can rate +1 to any website/webpage, even though the webmaster may not have integrated +1 button.
For now, there is no such plus one addon available for Firefox.
