HTC One vs. Samsung Galaxy S3 vs. iPhone 5

February 20, 2013 by Saqib Leave a Comment

HTC has just announced their next major Android smartphone – the HTC One. This smartphone comes with an all-around premium look, boasting 4.7-inch 1080p Super LCD 3 display (with 468 DPI and Gorilla Glass 2), all in an aluminum unibody. Under the hood lies Qualcomm’s Quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor which is clocked at 1.7GHz and paired with 2GB of RAM.

The One comes with non-removable 2,300mAh Li-polymer battery, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, WiFi a/ac/b/g/n and 32GB or 64GB of storage options, with no way to plug-in a memory card. But there’s one thing that stands out – UltraPixel camera, which HTC claims that it gathers 300 percent more light than traditional smartphone sensors. The camera is a 4-megapixel BSI sensor, with a dedicated HTC ImageChip 2, F2.0 aperture, and can record 1080p Full HD videos.

As expected from HTC, it comes with HTC’s Sense 5 UI and Android 4.1.2. The HTC One will be available in March in silver and black color offerings. On paper, the specs of this smartphone really looks impressive, but we’ll need to wait for the actual reviews to arrive. The HTC One surely beats Samsung’s Galaxy S3 and Apple’s iPhone 5 in many areas, but Samsung too is not sitting idle, as there are rumors of the Galaxy S4 arriving in March.

For now, let’s take a closer look at the side-by-side comparison between HTC One, Samsung Galaxy S3 and Apple iPhone 5.
