Samsung has launched a new waterproof mobile in the market, named Samsung MARINE B2100. So now you know what’s so special in this mobile. Its a mobile phone having features like waterproof, dust resistant and shock resistant. This phone can also be pronounced as an “Outdoor phone”. Let’s take a look at it.

Some more features are:

Music player

FM radio

1.3 MP Camera

Bluetooth

Memory card slot (Expandable upto 8 GB)

Flashlight (Very useful in places where there are frequent power cuts)

Below is the screenshot of this awesome phone.

Well, now we all know what’s so special in it.

I must say, I am impressed by this phone’s features and functionalities. This phone is very strong, enough to handle throwing from your hand to floor. This phone can survive upto 1 meter of water for 30 minutes. Ok, I agree its not much, but then you aren’t really going to throw this under deep water, right ? LOL. Imagine if your phone is in your pant’s pocket and you throw it in to a washing machine, or when its raining, this phone can survive these conditions.

This handset is a GSM Quad-band handset supporting 850/900/1800/1900 bands. It also has GPRS and Edge Class 10. This phone has a music player supporting AAC, MP3, eAAC, eAAC+, WAV and WMA formats. The player has additional functionalities like it can be categorized into artist, album, etc. It also has a equalizer.

Overall, this phone is targeted to a very niche audience. Now coming towards cost. This one will cost you 7050 INR. If you are a person who keeps the phone drowning in water, then this phone is for you. There are not many phone’s in market which are waterproof. I think Samsung is now listening to Indian consumers and making good phones which are suitable for Indian conditions. If you want to try yourself a good rugged phone, then I say try this, you won’t regret.

This is my first post in which i am writing about mobile phones. If you are buying a new mobile or just wanna recommend a new mobile to a friend then this is the right place for you.

I will recommend a mobile according to a price group.

So here I start:

Under 5000 INR (100 $) – The best bet for this budget is Nokia 3110 Classic. Its some features are Bluetooth, Infrared, expandable memory by microSD card upto 2 GB, 1.3 MP, radio, etc. Check out its features from here.

Under 7000 INR (140 $) – Under this budget you should go for Nokia 6233. This is somewhat old model but I highly recommend you this model. It has very good sound quality. Some features are 2 MP Camera, expandable memory upto 2 GB, bluetooth, radio, 3GPP/MPEG4 video player, etc. But if you want a Symbian phone then Nokia N72 is for you.

Under 10,000 INR (200 $) – In this budget I would recommend you Nokia Xpress Music 5220. Features include expandable memory upto 8 GB, 2 MP Camera, MP3/MPEG4 player, Java, upto 24 hr music time and many others.

Under 13,000 INR (260 $) – You can go for Nokia N73 ME in this range. Feature set includes 3.15 MP Autofocus Camera, expandable memory, symbian, MPEG4 player, Document viewer, printing, etc.

That’s it, happy shopping.
