How to use Format painter:

• Put your cursor in the text from which you want to apply formatting
• Press Ctrl+Shift+C
• Now put your cursor to the text which you want to apply the formatting
• And press Ctrl+Shift+V

Or you if you dont want to remember the shortcuts then you can also use the format painter button. Place your cursor from where you want to apply the formatting and then click on button. Now drag the brush over the text where you wish to apply the formatting. Its simple, try it and it will save you a lot of time.

Some people may think that installing WordPress is an alien task. Well, its not. And its really simple. Today we’ll learn how to install WordPress the easy way, directly through cPanel. Let’s start.

Follow these steps:

1) Login to cPanel.

2) Now click on “Fantastico De Luxe“. And then on “WordPress“.

3) Now click on “New Installation“.

4) Now if you want to install WordPress in the root, then leave the “Install in directory” as blank. Otherwise if you want to have a URL like www.domainname.com/blog then just write “blog” in the directory field.

Fill out all the other fields like username, password, nickname, Email, sitename and description. I would greatly recommend to set a strong password, consisting of alpha numeric characters. Admin e-mail is where you’ll get Emails for password change or a comment approval.

After this, just click on “Install WordPress“. In the next screen click on “Finish Installation“. The next screen will have all the details of the WordPress installation, if you wish to keep a record of it, then simply write down the Email ID and click on “Send Email”. Its done. WordPress installation is complete.

In accordance with regulatory instructions, we would like to notify you about a change in our withdrawal functionality in India starting on August 1, 2010. At present you can request for either an electronic or cheque withdrawal of funds from your PayPal account if you are an India user.

In order to help you with this change and until further notice, we will refund the $5 USD cheque withdrawal fee to you for cheque withdrawals made on July 29, 2010 onwards.

So Paypal has again implemented this step by saying “in accordance with regulatory instructions”.

The good news is that we will not be charged this $5 charges for Cheque withdrawal. I strongly feel that Government of India or RBI must solve this problem once and for all. I hope Paypal improves its service in near future. Nowadays Paypal has not remained as the hassle free service, but it has hassles, especially if you are in India. Lets hope the problem gets solved soon.

This is a firefox addon. It’s a no frills, no problems addon, it just does the works for which its made for. So download Web2PDF Converter, and it will install in seconds. Now convert webpages into PDF directly through the browser. Now thats why I like Firefox, there’s plenty of addons, for every use. Go ahead and try this one. There are some limitations like this addon cannot be used to convert protected pages where login is necessary. Also you can’t convert HTML pages from your Computer.

2) Express PDF:

Don’t have Firefox ? Don’t worry. ExpressPDF can convert any webpage, or a word file or a Excel file to PDF. Now one doesn’t even want any PDF converter software in the PC. Just go to their website and enter the URL of the webpage which you want to convert and then provide the Email address. In a short time you’ll receive the Email from where you’ll be able to download the file. Its this simple, and people think that its too complex to do this converting.

A word of caution: Do convert webpages to PDF only after reading the copyright policy. Many websites don’t allow this sort of converting. So just keep this in mind and then convert.

Changes or new features in WordPress 3.0:

Menus:

Its a whole new concept. Now you are not limited to just create new pages, but now you can create a new menu and link them to either external websites or internal pages. Now create your own custom navigation. The outcome of creating a customized menu would be like this:

To create a sub menu, simply drag and drop it under another menu. Love this new feature, now linking to pages is so easy.

Twenty Ten Theme:

Its the one and only and the default theme of WordPress 3.0. Thanks they dumped the age old Kubrick theme.

This new Twenty Ten theme offers many new features which you must have never seen. Just because of this theme you can use a custom background and use a custom header image.

Custom Background:

This feature is used by some themes, but still its good to see this in the default theme. This feature will help to use a custom background image or color.

From here you can select a color for the background or you can also upload an image and use that image as a background. Choose a background wisely, many people like background which is cool on eyes.

Custom Header:

You can also insert a custom header image file. You can select anyone image from the options given or upload a file from your Computer and use it as  a header. Now if you are the owner of a Company, then using the Company’s logo or customized logo becomes so easy, and we don’t need any programmer or graphic designer to do this. Its just so simple. Just take a note that if the image size is 940 × 198 pixels, then its great or otherwise in the next step you’ll need to crop it.

Widgets:

What’s so special in this ? Yes it’s something special in here.What makes widgets worth mentioning here is that here you can use widgets in different areas and not just in the sidebar. You can also insert Widgets in the footer of the page. So try out this all new widgets feature and you’ll be surprised how easy it is to insert widgets in the different parts of the Blog.

So now you see why its worth using this new Twenty Theme of WordPress 3.0. Best of all, its free, as we know it. Blogging is fun and thanks to this new version of WordPress, everyone can setup it, use it and customize it.

So now whenever someone will click this link or button, he will be bought to Twitter homepage (if logged in) and then the status box will already have your custom message. So all your visitor should do is to click on “Tweet”. See its this simple. Just don’t forget to add this “http://twitter.com/home?status=” in the beginning and then insert the message. Use + to insert spaces instead of leaving a space.

Firstly lets learn what’s the difference between the two cards:

• Internal TV Tuner card: These are PCI based cards, which are inserted in a free PCI slot of your motherboard. After inserting the card, you’ll need to install its driver and software which is provided in the CD. So now you can start enjoying the TV on the Computer. Some functionalities offered by internal TV tuner card are recording, schedule recording, timeshift, snapshot capture, remote, FM radio, etc. The minus point of these tv tuner cars is that you’ll need to wait for the Windows to load and then start the software. • External TV Tuner card: These are tv tuner which sit on the table, maybe beside monitor or speakers. You don’t need to insert them in the CPU. Just place it near monitor, connect all the wires to it and then just ON the adapter which came with that card and start enjoying the TV. You’ll need to connect the monitor’s cable to this TV Tuner first, and then it goes to the CPU. Other connections are speakers, adapter and TV cable. So connect all these and then you can start viewing TV without even loading Windows. This will also save the electricity. It also comes with remote, just like internal cards. The only minus point that I can see in external TV tuner cards is that you can’t record TV and capture snapshots. If you are thinking to buy this then look out for tv tuner card that has 1680 x 1050 resolution. Below is a picture of external TV Tuner card.

So now I think it must be clear that what’s the main difference between these two. If you are confused now also which one to buy then ask yourself, do you want to record TV, capture snapshots, if yes then go for internal tv tuner card and if you think that you won’t be recording TV and don’t want to wait for Windows to load everytime then go for external one. Its that simple.

Creating survey or forms for collecting information through Google Docs is very simple. Yes anyone can do it and you don’t need to be a master for this. So let’s start.

1) Login with Google Account and click on “Documents” from the top left hand side.

2) Click on “Create New” and then on “Form“. So that’s it, now you just need to insert in all your questions/data in the form. Do note that the question can be a multiple choice, checkbox, text, paragraph, etc. So for that click on the “Add Item” to choose the type of question.

You can also insert a section header or a Page break. Default Theme can also be changed. Click on “Theme:Plain” to change the theme to something more attractive. There are many other themes also, so choose the one you like. Properly organize the questions and then click on “Save”.

3) Finally the Survey is created. Now you just need to send this survey to your recipient’s so that they fill it out. Click on “Email this form” to Email this form or you can also embed this form into your Blog or Website. Just spread the word and ask people to fill this. Notice the link which is below the form, just directly copy and paste that in your Email or IM and this way you can ask your friends to participate in this newly created survey.
